Pforzheim – July 21, 2015 –  The 600V D-Sub connectors series from PROVERTHA was especially developed for compact power applications with easy and fast cable assembly. PROVERTHA now received UL approval for its 600V D-Sub connectors, an essential prerequisite for global marketing and sales, especially in the US and Canada. Only products tested by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) according to current US product safety requirements are allowed to show the UL sign. UL certified products enjoy good reputation by end users and authorities as well as insurance companies.

The high-voltage connectors are available with male and female versions. The 4-pin connectors system has touch-proof female connector versions according to VDE 0110. The D-Sub power connectors allow for field assembly direct at factory lines with turned crimp contacts and according crimp tools. For economical system cable harnessing versions with stamped contacts are available. A special design of the new crimp contacts and insulators in addition to the QuickLock D-Sub hood with its innovative push-pull locking enables fast and simple one-hand mating. For handling the crimp versions PROVERTHA offers crimp tools and insertion/extraction tools.

In addition to the crimp connectors variants with solder pins (90° und 180°) for PCB assembly are available. Wire cross sections from AWG 20 – AWG 12 can be handled.

The 600V D-Sub connectors are ideal in applications like drives, painting systems and robots.

The power connectors offer a current rating of 20 A (turned contacts) and 16 A (stamped contacts). Mating cycles are specified with 200 (Class 2, turned contacts) and 20 (stamped contacts). The connectors operate in the temperature range of  -55 °C to +125 °C.
