Pforzheim \u2013 October 24, 2024 \u2013 Always on the pulse of time: PROVERTHA presents its latest innovation, the SMT slimline circular connector in M12 format with spring-elastic contact for drop-in replacement in critical mechanical PCB interfaces. The new connectors are particularly impressive due to their slimline design and compatibility with circular connectors from other leading manufacturers on the market. The slimline connectors for PCB mounting are available in two versions: unshielded or shielded with a one-piece shielding spring in SMT (Surface Mounting Technology) connection technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

At least 30% more resistance to high stress<\/b><\/p>\n

Thanks to the spring-elastic contact and enlarged soldering surfaces, the slimline connectors offer at least 30% more resistance to tearing off the SMT connections under high mechanical stress than standard M12 SMT connectors on the market. In addition, the M12 Slimline products can be used flexibly thanks to selectable coding (A, B and D).<\/span><\/p>\n

Contact design for high functional reliability<\/b><\/p>\n

The Slimline sockets feature a robust contact design that ensures maximum functional reliability even under mechanical stress. With installation heights of just 17 mm and 18 mm, the Slimline connectors are perfect for applications with minimal installation space. The innovative M12 installation housing enables a particularly tight arrangement and offers a choice between push-pull and screw locking \u2013 ideal for the next generation of compact, secure connections.<\/span><\/p>\n

The slimline connectors in protection class IP67 ensure a temperature resistance of -40 \u00b0 to +125 \u00b0 C and a high current-carrying capacity. With high temperature resistant pick-and-place pads and tape-and-reel packaging, the M12 SMT slimline connectors are optimally prepared for the automated SMT process. The new PCB connector solutions in M12 format are an ideal addition to high-performance D-sub connectors for PCB applications.
