Pforzheim, 20th of March<\/span><\/span>\u00a02024. Provertha is expanding its range of WireClips \u2013 which enable reliable wire-to-board connections \u2013 with new ultra-low-profile WireClips. With an ultra-flat installation height of 2.3\u00a0mm, they significantly reduce space requirements. Thanks to their special geometry, the new WireClips are a wire-to-board solution suitable for installation in sensor tubes with an internal diameter of just 9\u00a0mm.<\/span><\/p>\n

A sensor tube is used to protect sensors from external factors such as moisture, dust, dirt and mechanical damage, and to mount sensors in the desired place. For example, sensor tubes find applications in the automotive sector, in environmental monitoring, in medical technology, in industry, and in many other areas for data acquisition. The shape and size of the sensor tube can vary depending on the application and its requirements. In the course of miniaturisation, sensor tubes with ever smaller diameters are being used. WireClip technology enables economical and space-saving wire-to-board connections with minimum installation height.<\/span><\/p>\n

Space-saving and cost-efficient with ready-to-connect cable assemblies<\/b><\/p>\n

Space-saving and highly economical Provertha WireClip solutions are equipped with ready-to-connect cable assemblies. These ensure the functionally reliable connection of individual stranded and solid wires to the PCB using wave soldering, guaranteeing a high level of process reliability. Wherever absolute reliability of the cable connection and a space-saving solution are required, Provertha WireClip assemblies have proven their worth.<\/span><\/p>\n

The patented WireClip consists of a high-temperature-resistant plastic part with an integrated \u201csnap-in\u201d clip that fixes securely onto the PCB before the soldering process, and also absorbs tensile forces on the wires. Provertha has its own special production facilities where WireClip cable assemblies are assembled using single wires or multi-core cables.<\/span><\/p>\n

The technology has already proven itself millions of times over in the automotive industry and industrial automation. There is hardly a vehicle manufacturer that does not already use WireClips in their vehicles \u2013 in critical systems relating to vehicle safety and in the steering wheel area. Now sensor manufacturers, who often have to deal with limited installation space for PCB assemblies, are also benefiting from the advantages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Different variants and customised versions available<\/b><\/p>\n

WireClips are available in 90\u00b0 angled versions with 1-row and 2-row variants, as well as straight versions. Special designs such as overmoulded variants or hybrid versions for power and signal transmission are available. The current portfolio of low-profile WireClips includes a 4-pin and a 6-pin version. Provertha can also produce customised versions in its own toolmaking department with a customer-oriented time-to-market.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
