FLEXLOCK\u00ae offers different locking systems for various application scenarios<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Pforzheim \u2013 10 November 2023 \u2013 Flexlock is Provertha’s patented locking system for the reliable nickel-plated D-Sub full metal hood series 217 with straight cable outlet, which has now been complemented by the new Flexlock series 247 with angled cable outlet. For the first time, users can freely choose between several different locking systems for a D-Sub hood series in line with application requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The patented dual locking system offers both the conventional screw locking mechanism with knurled screw, combination slot and Allen key as well as the innovative Quick Lock\u00ae push-pull locking system. In addition, there are other locking options: the sliding lock and a locking system with insertable nut for cable-to-cable connections. The Flexlock range of hoods with a high-quality nickel-plated surface offers an attractive visual appearance for applications where good looks are important.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reliable Flexlock 217 series with straight cable outlet (180\u00b0) is now complemented by the new Flexlock 247 series with angled cable outlet (45\u00b0). Provertha thus offers users a D-Sub hood system for every application thanks to the two cable outlet options and the highly flexible locking mechanism at device interfaces and for “loose” cables or cable connections. The zinc die-cast enclosure is designed for very harsh requirements in industrial automation and control cabinet construction at temperatures between -55 \u00b0C to +90 \u00b0C.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Connect quick and fail-safe with Quick Lock<\/b><\/p>\n

With the locking system Quick Lock, shock- and vibration-proof D-Sub fastenings in accordance with EN 61373 category 2 require no auxiliary tools and can be carried out in seconds with a single-handed operation. Secure locking is ensured by the acoustic and tactile feedback. Compared to conventional screw and slide locking systems, assembly can thus be carried out much faster. Existing D-Sub unit interfaces can be easily converted with low-cost locking pin sets to support the locking of the Quick Lock hood. Various locking pin versions are available for this.<\/span><\/p>\n

One-click locking saves time and costs<\/b><\/p>\n

The two half-shells of the new Flexlock full-metal hood can be joined together during assembly simply by snapping them into place (“snap-together design”), requiring only two cover screws at the cable outlet. This reduces assembly time and preparation costs. The spring-steel snap-together retaining springs ensure that they snap in securely and ensure reliable unbreakable locking over the entire service life \u2013 even when exposed to vibration and extreme loads during operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Compatible and interchangeable with commercially available designs<\/b><\/p>\n

The outer dimensions of the Flexlock enclosures correspond to established market standards. Thanks to this compatibility, the new D-Sub hoods can easily be used as an alternative solution in existing applications. In addition, they will be available in future in different enclosure sizes: as a 9-pin version with diameters from 3\u00a0mm to 9.5 mm and as a 15-pin and 25-pin version with diameters from 4 mm to 11\u00a0mm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Easy to assemble and exceptionally strong<\/b><\/p>\n

Full-metal hoods from Provertha excel due to their high mechanical strength, especially when used in very harsh environments. The spring-steel retaining spring guarantees its function even under high loads. Thanks to the easy-to-grip design and the pre-cut threads as well as the pre-assembled locking accessories, the full-metal hoods are particularly easy to assemble. The new Flexlock hoods are available as an individual packaged kit for assembly directly on site. However, they can also be supplied in bulk packaging for cable assemblies in larger quantities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
