Pforzheim, 21 August 2018 \u2013 PROVERTHA offers innovative connection technology solutions in its product range for railway and transportation systems, including D-Sub connectors and diecast hoods, as well as field-connectable M12 Ethernet connectors and cable assemblies. The main design characteristics are functionally secure data transmission achieved through highly reliable vibration-proof signal and shield contacts with cable strain relief. The company is presenting its comprehensive product range in Berlin at InnoTrans 2018 (18-21 September 2018, hall 10.1, stand 301).<\/p>\n

Some of the highlights among PROVERTHA\u2019s products and solutions at InnoTrans 2018 include M12 D-coded connectors for railway technology applications. The M12 Special variant has been developed for cables with inflexible jackets, as used for example in railway conductors, which must meet the fire protection standard DIN EN 45545-2. The special design makes it easy to connect the cable shield. The fully shielded all-metal housing and reliable cable strain relief using a crimp sleeve \/ crimp flange system guarantee secure functionality \u2013 even in extremely harsh environments. Alongside M12 D-coded connectors, PROVERTHA also provides other versions with different coding and in addition M8 connectors for railway systems.<\/p>\n

Fully shielded cable assemblies complement the M12 range. Pre-assembled and moulded types are available, and feature a special design for interference-free data transmission. Secure error-free data transmission is guaranteed by 360\u00b0 EMI\/RFI shielding with an all-metal housing as well as vibration and torsion-proof shield termination, plus vibration-resistant crimp technology for signal and shield contacts. Together with the vibration and torsion-proof strain relief, these assemblies ensure functional reliability in applications with more stringent requirements, e.g. in railway and transportation systems. The PROVERTHA cable assemblies are produced using high-grade UL-certified trailing cables, with railway-certified cable types for railway applications.<\/p>\n

PROVERTHA also offers various robust D-Sub diecast hoods and metallized plastic variants for high EMC performance that are designed specifically for harsh environments in railway and transportation applications. High-grade HF-proof diecast hoods are extremely mechanically rugged and particularly easy to install. A wide variety of types are available, also with various cable exits. For the locking system, hex socket cap screws can be used. These screws are secured with a spring washer, making them particularly suited to high-vibration railway and transportation applications. PROVERTHA will increasingly market a number of products which were previously supplied mainly via brand-label partners.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>
